The new HEBC60 for 19“ racks has an ultra-wide input voltage range between 14,4 and 154VDC with a output power of 60 watt. So one single device suits for all international on-board power supply voltages of rail vehicles (24V, 36V, 72V and 110V) including the +/- 40% tolerance required according to EN 50155. Consequently, this ultra-wide solution is very interesting for companies with Europe-wide activities, since one converter is sufficient for the qualification of modules.

It complies with EN 50155 regarding temperature, shock, vibration, as well as the railway specific criteria for surge, burst and ESD without additional components. Moreover, the converters have an integrated hold-up time of 10 ms (Class S2). A high degree of efficiency is achieved by the combination of booster and single forward converter at the optimized operating point .

The LEDs on the front plate are monitoring the status, standard fittings are over-voltage protection and excess temperature protection as well as active reverse polarity protection with inrush current limitation. The converters are open-circuit stable, continuously short-circuit proof and can be turned-off externally. Options like thermal warning or input power fail can easily be realized with the help of the micro-controller. Beside the version with dual output (5V/12V), it is also available with 24V single output voltage. For other outputs please contact us.
