eTV,
which is the official television platform for the World's Leading Trade
Fair for Electronic Components, Systems and Applications, started on
November 13, 2012. Daily, eTV
examined the industry's key trends and technologies. Programming
included thrilling interviews and up-to-date reports on this year's
main themes, i.e. smart energy solutions, e-mobility solutions,
embedded solutions and power electronics.
eTV - Friday The
electronics sector is one of the industries that are especially affected by the
shortage of specialists. eTV shows how electronica is trying combat this
problem with the student day in the electronica Forum. One of the highlights was
the presentation of the Cosima award for the best university projects.
Finally, on the last day of the trade fair, eTV took a look at the
statistics and exhibitors drew a conclusion. Additionally the last podcast gives an expanded overview about this year's electronica and the highlights.
eTV - Thursday Embedded
Systems are at the core of most electronic applications, thus increasing the
demand for these specialized components. Technical advances and the increased
networking of different systems make them indispensable. This issue of eTV
covers new developments in medical and wireless electronics. Last but not
least, legendary industrial designer Luigi Colani talks about technology and
design.
eTV - Wednesday The
car of the future is becoming increasingly intelligent. This is true for the
infrastructure, too. Among other things, the semiconductor industry is
currently working on the networking of vehicles and traffic control systems, on
battery management systems for electric cars, and on solutions for a charging
infrastructure. This eTV’s edition features these topis and presents also the concept car eBee, a
world premier at electronica 2012.
eTV - Tuesday One of the core topics of electronica 2012 was smart energy solutions. This edition of eTV shows how the industry will deal in the future with the challenges of the
energy tunaround and energy supply in the smart grid. The traditional
CEO Round Table focused on exactly these challenges, for which the semiconductor
industry comes up with smart, technical solutions for the “smart” grid. Further this issue of eTV presents flexible solutions for storing electricity and show new
developments in energy harvesting from the environment. Last but not least,
Satoshi Sawamura, president of Rohm, Co. Ltd., gave an exclusive interview.
eTV - Monday In
this edition of the eTV
magazine, experts from the automotive electronics sector
have their say. Nicole Schmitt, Exhibition Group Director of
electronica, gives an up-to-date insight into the preparations and
organisation of
a large trade fair, and last but not least, Norbert Bargmann, Deputy
CEO of Messe München informes about the first facts, figures
and data regarding electronica 2012.
