electronica’s forums are special platforms that are reserved for innovative technologies and applications. More than 165 individual events were attended by thousands of visitors in 2008.

Forums at electronica 2010:
  • automotive Forum
  • embedded Forum
  • Display/e-Signage Forum
  • electronica Forum
  • ZVEI Forum
While other forums generally focus on specific themes, the electronica Forum covers a selection of the most important development and technology fields such as MEMS, medical electronics, wireless, organic electronics and photovoltaics. The forums are located at the heart of the exhibition halls, which makes them popular attractions that are impossible for visitors to overlook.

Transfer of know-how – Added value for your company

One of three pillars in the automotive sector at electronica – the automotive Forum in Hall A6

To round out the exhibition and the conference, the Forum will feature exciting panel discussions that will pique your interest on all 4 days of the fair. Under the heading "How do cars get their electricity?", topics such as plug systems for charging batteries, inductive charging and battery-changing systems are on the agenda. When it comes to "Key components for the electric automobile", the forum will focus on power electronics, batteries, drive systems/motors and high-voltage connectors.

The program of events will be rounded out by the "AUTOSAR Autumn Release News"  as well as lectures on "Robustness Validation", "Traceability" and "ISO 6201". The forum is being organized in conjunction with the ZVEI.

Detailed information about all lectures in the automotive Forum is available in our event database.

Showcasing key technologies and applications

The response in 2008 proved it: the embedded Forum, which examined the latest hot topics, met with a great deal of interest. We want to pick up on that again in 2010. Together with our partner ICC Media, the Forum – located in the middle of Hall A6 – is currently full of life.

Highlights of the embedded forum:
  • Windows Embedded Standard 7 and Windows Embedded Compact 7: Microsoft and its partners will show how systems based on Windows Embedded 7 are being developed and present solutions for vertical markets
  • Motor control: key factors for improved energy efficiency and lower system costs
  •  Small form factor boards: significant trends and key factors—a look at how embedded boards with smaller dimensions can be developed using smaller ICs that use less energy
  • Other presentations: RTOS, software development and embedded connectivity

Detailed information about all lectures in the embedded Forum is available in our event database.

Slogan: 'Big sizes – Low energy – 3D – Touch'

electronica 2010We are very pleased that the Display/e-Signage Forum in Hall A3 will be part of electronica again in 2010. Organizers are still in the process of selecting this year's topics. Messe München is pleased to announce that Prof. Dr. Blankenbach (Pforzheim University, Display Lab) will be participating again at the Display/e-Signage Forum.

Unlike the other forums, the Display/e-Signage Forum consists of a "Speaker's Corner" including presentations and panel discussions as well as an exhibition area where exhibitors will show their e-Signage products

This year's forum will probably revolve around the following areas:
  • e-Signage applications in the indoor sector
  • Special challenges in the outdoor sector
  • Ways to control e-Signage
  • Interactive e-Signage applications

Detailed information about all lectures in the Display/e-Signage Forum is available in our event database.

Once again, the ZVEI Forum will feature a wide range of interesting topics.

Experts in the sectors for

  • connectors
  • passive/active components
  • PCBs and semiconductors.

The Traceability Working Group, which released the "Traceability and Identification in the Electrical Engineering and Electronics Industry" Guide at productronica 2009, will report on its experiences working with this established process in actual practice.

The topic of energy efficiency will also be a main theme. The use of existing electrical-engineering technology, the latest electronic components and modern lighting technology in the private and industrial sectors can already be used to make massive reductions in CO2 emissions.

There will be a "Market Session" to present market figures and statistics for electrical engineering and electronics and to take a look into the future.

The ZVEI's "Superstudium.de" initiative is now an established part of the fair. As always, it will give young German students a chance to gather information about careers in electrical engineering and electronics at this year's fair.

Further Highlights in the ZVEI Forum:
  • Passive components
  • PCBs/electronic components (market overview and EMS services)
  • Environmental topics
  • Market access (UL, TÜV, VDE)

Detailed information about all lectures in the ZVEI Forum is available in our event database.
